Welcome Abigail Parrilla, The Price Center’s New CEO
The Price Center Welcomes Abigail “Abby” Parrilla to Lead its Growth Through Development of Innovative, High-Quality Programming While Maintaining Small-Community Feel
Newton, MA – September 25, 2024 – The Price Center, a model service agency empowering and caring for individuals with special gifts, needs, and abilities, is welcoming Abby Parrilla as its new Chief Executive Officer. Abby Parrilla arrives with a mandate to lead the growth of The Price Center’s programming and service levels to meet the Greater Boston and Metro West communities’ growing needs while maintaining its “small community/family” appeal. Parrilla has extensive executive experience with agencies for special individuals and their families and has been the catalyst for many groundbreaking initiatives. In previous leadership roles, she has developed a strong culture of excellence and appreciation. Moreover, programs under her guidance have improved quality assurance, demonstrated rigorous policy development, and shown continuous improvement. Centering these accomplishments, Parrilla brings to The Price Center her tremendous enthusiasm and energy, along with a passion for advocacy and human rights.

Abby Parrilla has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, management, business development, and effective communication skills. She has almost twenty-five years of experience in managing large groups of people across various for-profit and non-profit sectors, and before arriving at The Price Center has been the CEO of the Arc of the South Shore. These include business development management for PepsiCo and social work at Boston’s Children’s Hospital, admissions, public relations, outreach and marketing for the Boston Public Schools, executive leadership for the Massachusetts Aging Services Access Points, and management consulting, and operations management for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Throughout her career, Parrilla has developed recruitment and retention strategies for both employees and consumers and has fervently advocated for elder and disability rights. She serves as a motivational speaker, is a trained mediator, and is bi-lingual in English and Spanish. Officially, Abby Parrilla joins The Price Center on Sept 30, 2024.
